Stack & Swap

Stack & Swap looks like a simple match puzzle at first, then it opens up. You swap adjacent tiles to line up colors, but stacking two of the same tile transforms them into new types with their own rules. Once you grasp that, the boards turn into little logic experiments.

The offline puzzle mode is where I spent most of my time. Levels are handcrafted with a clear par, and chasing the optimal solution is oddly addictive. There's also an endless mode for when you just want to zone out.

It's easy to pick up and hard to put down, which is exactly what you want in a phone puzzler. Battery use is low too, so it survived a full day of travel on my phone.
