Why we only cover games that work offline
Every site needs a rule that keeps it honest. Ours is simple: if a game can't do its core thing without a connection, it doesn't get a full review here. That single line has shaped what we play and how we test.
The reason is practical. Signal drops on trains, planes, elevators, and half the countryside. A game that stops being fun the second bars disappear isn't a game you can rely on.
There's also a quieter reason. Offline games tend to trust their own design. They can't lean on constant updates or online pressure, so they have to be genuinely good on day one.
So when you see a title on Pocket Offline, you know we've had it in airplane mode and watched it hold up. That's the whole promise.
